SUBJECT: RE: I went to St. Peter's yesterday...

Steve,
You couldn't have said it better. Here we are preying on the sympathy of old students by exhibiting the horrible state of affairs in the school. For the past 18 or 20 years, what were the authorities doing about the slowly decaying situation ? If you ask me about the pictures being displayed on the Persco web site, I would say it will not necessarily make old students shell out their hard earned money. All this talk about the bad state of affairs in our dear school would be better assimilated and acted upon, if backed by a concrete paln to fix and maintain it. At least the school could own certain profit bearing enterprises to help maintain facilities. We could even start with the school farm and then expand the operations to include the production of cash crops like pineapples. Sooner or later the institution could be earning a much more stable currency through export and in return, purchase certain vital property like a power generator, water pumping system- since students spend their precious time fetching water to the kitchen. Since St. Peters prides itself in the academics so much, the library could be expanded and restocked with much more modern books and computer systems. In a nutshell the money we contribute to the fund should be wisely invested to help Persco manage a self-sustained growth afterwards. By the way the pictures are good for the archives and future reference. Steve we need to really sit down and draw up an action plan for this whole situation.
Peace
Brother Man. Michael Appiah-Kyeremeh
