SUBJECT: RE: I went to St. Peter's yesterday...
Kudjo,
Having read your e-mail I am compelled to ask you what can I do to help change the situation. I am a strong believer that something can be done in any situation or circumstance. I personally believe that money is not the ultimate solution to the problem. It is a combination of many factors such as the mind set, personal responsibilities, priorities and finally money to build and maintain the infrastructure. As a former perscodian I feel that I have to do something to help. Unfortunately the situation at Persco reflects the general state of affairs in Ghana. God help Ghana. IMF and World bank policies will make us poorer. Begging for assistance from the west creates dependency complex. We now even import common food to eat. Guys do you recall we planted our own food at "NTOME MU" a place somewhere in Kwahu that Mr. Debra got for Persco to grow plantain, etc. Our destiny is in our own hands. Sorry I am deviating from the issue here but I feel that we are shooting our own selves in our shoes. We have to start thinking that we can do something to change our plight. So my question is what can I do to help. May be St. Peter's can take a lead and other schools will follow. Remember the only last weapon for the poor is education and if that is taken away then the next thing to think of is death. I have to go. Please let me know what I can do to help as a former Perscoba.
